Patrick Kabambe

Patrick currently works as the Chief Executive officer of the Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC), a position he has held since 1st February, 2021. He has extensive experience in both the public as well as the private sector in Malawi. Prior to joining the PPPC, he had worked for 23 years in the Malawi Civil Service where he rose up to leadership positions in some of the most strategic ministries, including Finance, Agriculture, Foreign Affairs and Labour. He worked as Principal Secretary for 13 years before going on early retirement in 2016. After retiring from the civil service in 1996, he joined First Capital Bank as Head of Agriculture. He was responsible for designing and implementing financing solutions for the agriculture sector, including smallholder farmers. He left the bank at the end of his contract in 2019. Between 2019 and 2021, he did consulting work in the areas of finance and project design.

 

Patrick holds a Master’s Degree in Economics obtained from State University of New York at Binghamton, in the United States of America in 1996. His first degree is Bachelor of Social Sciences from University of Malawi in 1991.
